It involves every part of a person. Physical and mental. At Virginia Garcia we teach our patients not only how to be healthy, but how to stay healthy.

Eating Healthy

Easy, healthy recipes sure to satisfy even the the pickiest of eaters

The “flour” of this recipe is flax meal. Flax seeds are high in fiber: soluble fiber (gives bulk to the stool) and insoluble fiber (natural laxative). These fibers help regulate blood sugar & cholesterol levels, improve gut health (yummy food for our gut microbes), and make you “regular”. Flax seeds are also a great source of fat –the “good fat” omega-3 fatty acids alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Lastly, the fiber in flax seeds can assist in weight loss as it makes you feel more satisfied, less hungry.

Pro tip: drink plenty of water when eating flax seeds as you may get constipated if you don’t
