Katie was born in College Station, Texas, but grew up in Bozeman, Montana. She returned to Texas for undergraduate and pharmacy school, but after 7 years in the Texas heat, she was longing to return to the Pacific Northwest. She was very excited to match with Pacific University and Virginia Garcia for her second year post-graduate residency program. Throughout her residency year, Katie was inspired by Virginia Garcia’s mission, vision and values and knew she wanted to continue her career with VG. Immediately upon her graduation from residency in June 2017, Katie began as a clinical pharmacist for our Newberg location and worked to reopen our Newberg outpatient pharmacy in February 2018. Katie is also the director for Virginia Garcia’s post-graduate year 1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program.
