Current Volunteer Opportunities
Support our spring, summer, and winter break fun and educational programs for kids at our Cornelius and Beaverton Wellness Centers.
Provide valuable cooking and nutrition education to members of your community. Training provided by Oregon Food Bank. Seeking instructors for both Spanish and English speaking patients.
Businesses and organizations that want to engage staff in team building, leverage skills of their employees can support Virginia Garcia by taking advantage of projects that can be completed in one day.
We hold a number of community and fundraising events throughout the year and need help on everything from guest registration to selling raffle tickets to set up/break down.

Support our monthly food pantry program we are doing in partnership with the Oregon Food Bank in Cornelius and Beaverton. We will be giving away fresh produce and dry foods to needy families in a farmer’s market type of environment. We will also be cooking and serving recipe samples to give people ideas of how to prepare healthy foods.
Help our Outreach Manager prepare an incredible event in Cornelius on August 17th. It takes months of preparation to pull off a successful fair with hundreds of community members and dozens of local organizations participating. A basic level of Spanish skills is preferred.
Medical and dental professionals are welcome to augment our clinical staff by using their skills and time to provide service to our patients on a regular basis. Licensed medical and dental volunteers will need to have their credentials verified before treating patients. Please connect with us to learn more about what this opportunity may look like for the services you wish to provide. In addition to treating patients, we would welcome volunteer support for nurse education on primary care topics, as well as involvement in longitudinal projects such as process improvement, data analysis, and project management.
Every summer, our mobile clinic visits migrant and seasonal farmworker patients at their job sites. We need volunteers to help us count patients, assist our health educators, run children’s activities, distribute donated items, and more. Spanish speaking ability required.
Help patients in our Hillsboro clinic enroll in our online portal to see lab results, email their provider, etc. Spanish ability and a regular volunteer schedule required.
Welcome and orient patients and community members to the Beaverton Wellness Center.
Teach our patients and community members in Cornelius and Beaverton in classes like yoga, Zumba, tai chi, self-defense, resume writing, English, crafting with seniors and kids, and more.
