AnneMarie Overholser, MD
Dr. AnneMarie Overholser was born and raised in Oregon. She went to college in Massachusetts and medical school in Ohio before coming back to Oregon to complete her formal medical training with the Providence family medicine residency program in Milwaukie, OR. During college and medical school she spent a couple of summers working with Virginia Garcia in the clinics and camp outreach programs. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career in primary care.
She is glad now to return home to work with this great group of people and serve this community.
She enjoys experiencing different parts of the world and getting to know people from different cultures. She spent time studying in Ecuador, Greece and Honduras. Just before coming to Virginia Garcia she was working with the Navajo tribe in New Mexico.
Her favorite parts of practicing medicine include learning what is important to her patients and using her medical knowledge to help them understand their health and achieve their goals. She also values being able to provide a safe and welcoming place for people to come for care, and to ease the way through the often difficult medical system.
Away from work, she enjoys being with family and friends and spending time outdoors.
She speaks English and español.
Es una bendición poder servir a la gente aquí y espero tener la oportunidad mejorar la salud de la comunidad.
