Sunisa Chanyaputhipong, MD

  • Sunisa_ChanyaputhipongDoctor Sunisa Chanyaputhipong joined Virginia Garcia in May 2005. Dr. Chanyaputhipong practices full-spectrum family medicine and enjoys the variety of patients she sees. She values the therapeutic relationships she forms with her patients and strives to keep her patients educated about their health conditions and encourages them to optimize their health. She believes strongly in preventive medicine, family planning and vaccinations. In her spare time, she enjoys karate, traveling, and photographing her children.

  • Kelly CrawfordDoctor Kelly Crawford joined Virginia Garcia in September of 2014. Dr. Crawford believes all patients deserve the best care regardless of their ability to pay. Her medical interests include helping patients partner in their health, natural remedies, behavior changes to promote health, and chronic disease management.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, playing with her two kids, and spending time with her husband.

Alice Hamilton, MSN, CPNP

  • Nurse Practitioner Alice Hamilton specializes in pediatrics. She spent three years  in the Pediatric Pulmonary Center of Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and went on to serve as a United States Air Force Captain for three years. She had a 20-year career with Kaiser Permanente and came on board with Virginia Garcia three years ago.

Margo Pipher, DO

  • Margo_PipherDoctor Margo Pipher joined Virginia Garcia in 2008 with a primary focus in Internal Medicine. She enjoys caring for medically complex adults and is honored to provide the highest quality of individualized care she can to each patient. She is proud of and committed to Virginia Garcia’s common goal of raising the standard of health care in our underserved community.

    At home, she enjoys all types of outdoor activities, reading medical journals and spending time with family.

  • Michael SchiferlDoctor Michael Schiferl joined Virginia Garcia in October of 2009. Dr. Schiferl’s medical interests include international medicine and medical relief, community health, pediatrics, and obstetrics. Having worked for community health for nearly 10 years, Michael joined Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Clinics to continue his interest and commitment to community health and helping the underserved both locally and overseas. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, nature, photography, motorcycling and touring, and travel.

Linda Wheeler, CNM

  • Linda_WheelerCertified Nurse Midwife Linda Wheeler joined Virginia Garcia in 2004. She has a keen interest in women’s health care. Linda particularly enjoys performing well-woman examinations (including Pap smears) during which women can talk about family planning, gynecological issues, and sexual health.  Linda is fascinated by the unique issues each woman brings to her clinic visit and appreciates the opportunity to influence their health. Having lived in Brazil and visited Central America and Africa, Linda joined Virginia Garcia to work with and learn from women of many cultures.

Dr. Mull finds providing dental care to underserved communities extremely rewarding. During her eight years at Virginia Garcia she’s had the opportunity to watch many of her young patients grow up. Dr. Mull is passionate about the Virginia Garcia mission and is honored to work with such an excellent team. In her limited spare time she enjoys art projects, historical research and spending time with friends and family.

  • Michelle Nguyen

    Dr. Michelle Nguyen joined Virginia Garcia in September of 2014. Following her community health rotation, Michelle was very excited to join Virginia Garcia as a full-time dentist. She truly believes in Virginia Garcia’s mission and vision and wanted to be a part of providing quality dental care to those with the greatest need. Michelle also enjoys working with children and delights in the funny and clever things they say.

    Michelle loves to travel. Some of her favorite places include Vietnam and Ecuador. While not at work, you might find her working on various art projects. She also enjoys tennis, rock-climbing, hiking, calligraphy, and is currently learning how to snowboard.
