Sunisa Chanyaputhipong, MD
Doctor Sunisa Chanyaputhipong joined Virginia Garcia in May 2005. Dr. Chanyaputhipong practices full-spectrum family medicine and enjoys the variety of patients she sees. She values the therapeutic relationships she forms with her patients and strives to keep her patients educated about their health conditions and encourages them to optimize their health. She believes strongly in preventive medicine, family planning and vaccinations. In her spare time, she enjoys karate, traveling, and photographing her children.

Kelly Crawford, DO
Doctor Kelly Crawford joined Virginia Garcia in September of 2014. Dr. Crawford believes all patients deserve the best care regardless of their ability to pay. Her medical interests include helping patients partner in their health, natural remedies, behavior changes to promote health, and chronic disease management. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, playing with her two kids, and spending time with her husband.

Leslie Gustafson, PA-C
Physician Assistant Leslie Gustafson joined Virginia Garcia in January 2015. Leslie’s medical interest include working with patients to achieve overall health and well-being, including mental wellness. She believes everyone deserves quality healthcare and is excited to work for an organization with this mission. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Northwest, hiking, playing guitar, and spending time with her friends and family.

Steven Levine, MD
Doctor Steven Levine joined Virginia Garcia in January of 2015. Dr. Levine enjoys providing adult primary care to patients for whom Spanish is their first language. During his spare time, Steven enjoys hiking, studying the Spanish language, and traveling.

Margo Pipher, DO
Doctor Margo Pipher joined Virginia Garcia in 2008 with a primary focus in Internal Medicine. She enjoys caring for medically complex adults and is honored to provide the highest quality of individualized care she can to each patient. She is proud of and committed to Virginia Garcia’s common goal of raising the standard of health care in our underserved community.
At home, she enjoys all types of outdoor activities, reading medical journals and spending time with family.

Eleanor Sims, MD
Doctor Eleanor Sims joined Virginia Garcia in October of 2003. Eleanor was born and raised in Cagayan and Manila, Philippines. She immigrated to the USA in 1999. Her medical interests include prenatal care and women’s health. When not at work she enjoys tennis, reading, traveling, volunteer work and bowling.

Krenie Stowe, MD, JD
Doctor Krenie Stowe joined Virginia Garcia in December of 2013. She is a board certified pediatrician with 25 years of clinical experience. Her approach to healthcare is collaborative and holistic, with an emphasis on education and empowerment. She is a strong supporter of long term breast feeding, natural birth and attachment parenting and sees herself as an advocate for children. She is keenly interested in health care policy and the intersection between medicine and law.
Dr. Stowe joined VG because she believes healthcare is a human right and should be universally accessible. She hopes to play a role in re-shaping care for families with children, encouraging caregivers to be well informed and to take an active role in the health of the children for which they are responsible.
She moved to Oregon because of its physical beauty and cooler climate and because there seemed to be a statewide interest in innovative healthcare reform. She enjoys music, especially old R&B, and loves to dance. She has four dogs, and two cats and one wonderful son.

Tim Van Ert, MD
Doctor Tim Van Ert joined Virginia Garcia in July 2002. Following a rotating internship at San Francisco General, Tim spent four years as a family doctor in San Francisco doing house calls and home births. He moved to Oregon in 1989 where he did general practice at Willamette Valley University clinics for many years. In 2002, Tim started working summers at Virginia Garcia clinic sites. Tim began working full-time as the lead clinician at Virginia Garcia’s McMinnville Clinic in 2011.
Tim loves his wife and daughter, his poetry and palindrome works, and nature – especially plants.

Nina Yang, MD
Doctor Nina Yang joined Virginia Garcia in July of 2014. She enjoys playing the violin, piano and guitar as well as jogging and the fine arts.

Lizette Nguyen, RDH, EPP
Lizette was born in Manila, Philippines, and moved to Portland, Oregon (U.S.A) at the age of 4. She started off as a volunteer sterilization technician at a Dental Public Health Clinic in 1998, after a year of volunteering; she was given the opportunity to become one of their dental assistants. She graduated from Portland State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science. Working in the public health community inspired her to become a public health hygienist.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Pacific University Dental Health Science (Oregon) in 2008. After graduation, she worked as a temp-dental assistant for Virginia Garcia in 2008. With a passion for her profession; she re-joined Virginia Garcia’s Dental Team in February 2012. She is honored to be part of a team of dental professionals that help to overcome barriers to ensure children, pregnant women, and people with complex health issues, receive preventative dental care and education.
She believes being in the public health environment is challenging but rewarding experience and gives her a better understanding of diversity. Lizette finds great pleasure in spending time with family and friends, camping, crocheting, and baking.

Michelle Nguyen, DMD
Dr. Michelle Nguyen joined Virginia Garcia in September of 2014. Following her community health rotation, Michelle was very excited to join Virginia Garcia as a full-time dentist. She truly believes in Virginia Garcia’s mission and vision and wanted to be a part of providing quality dental care to those with the greatest need. Michelle also enjoys working with children and delights in the funny and clever things they say.
Michelle loves to travel. Some of her favorite places include Vietnam and Ecuador. While not at work, you might find her working on various art projects. She also enjoys tennis, rock-climbing, hiking, calligraphy, and is currently learning how to snowboard.

Serena S. Mull, D.M.D.
Doctor Serena S. Mull joined Virginia Garcia in November 2006 in the newly opened McMinnville dental clinic. Dr. Mull finds providing dental care to underserved communities extremely rewarding. During her eight years at Virginia Garcia she’s had the opportunity to watch many of her young patients grow up. Dr. Mull is passionate about the Virginia Garcia mission and is honored to work with such an excellent team. In her limited spare time she enjoys art projects, historical research and spending time with friends and family.
