Current Volunteer Opportunities

Data entry, filing, and various other administrative tasks are needed to keep our operations running. Use your detail-oriented skills to help our behind-the-scenes trains run on time.

Current project need: Our Compliance Officer needs help with some electronic file format conversion

Virginia Garcia works to make sure our patients’ interests are represented in local, state, and national policy decisions. Register voters, canvass or call on ballot measures, contact your elected officials, and engage community members in making sure everyone has access to great health care.

Current project need: Canvass to oppose Measure 105 (racial profiling) and support Measure 102 (affordable housing) on 10/13 11am-3pm from our Beaverton Wellness Center. Phone bank on the same measures 10/28 from 5:30-8:30pm from our Admin building in Hillsboro.

Support our spring break, summer, and winter break fun and educational programs for kids at our Cornelius and Beaverton Wellness Centers.

Provide valuable cooking and nutrition education to members of your community. Training provided by Oregon Food Bank. Seeking instructors for both Spanish and English speaking patients.

We hold a number of community and fundraising events throughout the year and need help with tasks like setup/breakdown, guest registration, selling raffle tickets, and directing parking.

Current project need: 11/2 from 3:30-5:30pm for set up, and 8-9pm for breakdown at our Cornelius Wellness Center. “Light Up a Life” Service of Remembrance in partnership with Care Parnters Hospice is an evening to honor the memories of loved ones.

Support our monthly free food markets in partnership with the Oregon Food Bank in Cornelius, Hillsboro, and Beaverton. We will be giving away fresh produce and dry foods to needy families in a farmer’s market type of environment. We may also cook and serve recipe samples to give people ideas of how to prepare healthy foods.

Current project needs:
Beaverton Wellness Center: 1st Thursday of the month, 12:30-3:30pm
Hillsboro Clinic: 2nd Friday of the month, 11:30am-2:30pm
Cornelius Wellness Center: 2nd Tuesday of the month, 3-6:30pm.

Help our Cornelius Wellness Center garden grow! The garden is used for teaching healthy food options, herbal medicine, and producing delicious food for our patient community.

Every summer, our mobile clinic visits migrant and seasonal farmworker patients at their job sites. We need volunteers to help us count patients, assist our health educators, run children’s activities, distribute donated items, and more. Spanish speaking ability required.

Teach our patients and community members in Cornelius and Beaverton in exercise classes like yoga or tai chi, self-defense, resume writing, English, crafting with seniors and kids, and more.
