Hi! My name is Gianfranco Mascia Betancourt, I currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology fromthe University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s degree and license in Mental Health Counseling. I am a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) and also have a certification to practice hypnotherapy. Throughout my time as a provider I have taught various seminars demonstrating the techniques of prevention, relaxation and detention of negative thoughts. I also have instructed a variety of workshops regarding family dynamics and how to
support parents and children. I have had the opportunity to educate and help patients prevent drug use/ abuse, sexually transmitted diseases and help to foster healthy relationships and behaviors. My work experience is based on treating trauma cases, grieving processes, sexual abuse and violence, as well as physical and emotional abuse. I use a variety of tools and techniques during my sessions to find the root causes that are affecting my individual clients. I work closely with my clients to help develop the right pathways to promote health and well-being in their day to day lives.
