who qualifies for a 3rd dose?
The CDC recently approved providing a 3rddose of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine for those that have health risks. The 3rd dose should be provided no sooner than 4 weeks after your 2nd dose and is intended for the following individuals:
You are taking or being given medication for any kind of cancer
You have had any kind of transplant or are taking or being given medication for any kind of transplant
You have a serious problem with your immune system
You have HIV or AIDS that is not in control
You are taking steroid medicine every day (prednisone is an example of a steroid), or
You are taking any other strong medicine that a doctor said will weaken your immune system
The booster dose is currently not approved for anyone that received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine there is no further action for you to take at this time.
