The Maria Loredo Workforce Development Fund Tuition Assistance

The Maria Loredo Workforce Development Fund provides all current staff members with tuition assistance at Virginia Garcia regardless of how long they have been at the organization. It is an application-based and targeted reimbursement program designed to support staff who are pursuing education and certificate-level training that could directly benefit our organization. Most courses of study or job-related certification programs will qualify.

This Includes:
  • General college coursework related to getting an AA, Bachelor's degree, or other higher education
  • Pre-requisite classes being taken in preparation for other programs
  • Certification programs related to an employee's current job or future role
Details:
  • Employee applicants must be working at least 16 hours a week to receive assistance, except in very rare circumstances
  • Our maximum annual assistance is $15,000 per employee.
  • Eligible to participate immediately after being hired at Virginia Garcia
  • Temporary, seasonal, on-call employees, contractors, students, allied partners and others who are not employees of Virginia Garcia are not eligible.
