Effective Saturday, July 1, Virginia Garcia Women's Clinic will have a new name.
"Over the past year Virginia Garcia has increased it's efforts to ensure it continues to be a safe, inclusive space for anyone in the community" said Virginia Garcia CEO Gil Muñoz. "During this review, our patient engagement team advocated for the patients they serve and expressed concern that the name of our Women’s Clinic may not reflect the inclusive nature we want for Virginia Garcia. As a people-led, patient-centered community health center, we must strive for health equity.
The Virginia Garcia Reproductive Health Clinic, previously known as the Virginia Garcia Women’s Clinic, will formally change its name on July 1, 2023 in an effort to ensure the inclusivity of all community members in need of our services.
Virginia Garcia remains dedicated to our mission to provide high quality health care to those who need it most. We fully support and welcome anyone, regardless of gender identity, to receive reproductive health services at this clinic.
