Ian M. Clemons has been a dedicated Physician Associate since 2000, but his connection to Virginia Garcia runs even deeper. His journey began at the original Cornelius clinic, where he worked as a Medical Assistant from 1996 to 1998 and was first inspired by the organization’s mission. After honing his expertise in local Emergency Departments and Urgent Care, and after a long tenure in Orthopedics, Ian returned to the Virginia Garcia family in 2022. He is grateful to be back in this supportive, welcoming environment, where he plays a meaningful role in the lives of his patients and their families.
At the heart of Ian’s practice is a commitment to creating a safe, judgment-free space where patients feel comfortable sharing their lives and stories. He believes true health is a collaborative effort and listens closely to his patients’ needs to develop personalized wellness strategies. Ian is a strong advocate for a balanced lifestyle, emphasizing regular exercise, a nutritious diet, adequate sleep, and a vibrant social life. He also encourages a mindful approach to technology, helping patients find a healthy balance in their use of the internet and social media.
Outside the clinic, Ian’s passion for life shines through his creative and active pursuits. He is an avid musician who enjoys making and performing music on his accordion. He also embraces Oregon’s natural beauty, spending as much time as possible swimming, cycling, and observing the changing seasons in the great outdoors.
