Dr. Eva Galvez was raised in a rural area near Hood River, surrounded by family and friends who were seasonal and migrant farmworkers. From a young age, she became aware of the many barriers her community faced in accessing healthcare. This experience inspired her to pursue medical school and dedicate her career to serving communities with limited access to care.
Dr. Galvez encourages her patients to lean into their cultural roots, traditions, and values when facing health challenges. She believes the best health outcomes happen when evidence-based medical care is combined with the unique values, beliefs, and lifestyle of each individual.
Outside of work, Dr. Galvez enjoys spending time with her family, flower gardening, cooking, and reading. A fun fact is that she is an identical twin, and her sister is also a doctor. So if you see someone who looks and sounds like her, it might be the other Dr. Galvez!
