Doctor Sunisa Chanyaputhipong joined Virginia Garcia in May 2005. Dr. Chanyaputhipong practices full-spectrum family medicine and enjoys the variety of patients she sees. She values the therapeutic relationships she forms with her patients and strives to keep her patients educated about their health conditions and encourages them to optimize their health. She believes strongly in preventive medicine, family planning and vaccinations. In her spare time, she enjoys karate, traveling, and photographing her children.

Doctor Kelly Crawford joined Virginia Garcia in September of 2014. Dr. Crawford believes all patients deserve the best care regardless of their ability to pay. Her medical interests include helping patients partner in their health, natural remedies, behavior changes to promote health, and chronic disease management. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, playing with her two kids, and spending time with her husband.

Alice Hamilton, MSN, CPNP
Nurse Practitioner Alice Hamilton specializes in pediatrics. She spent three years in the Pediatric Pulmonary Center of Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and went on to serve as a United States Air Force Captain for three years. She had a 20-year career with Kaiser Permanente and came on board with Virginia Garcia three years ago.

Doctor Margo Pipher joined Virginia Garcia in 2008 with a primary focus in Internal Medicine. She enjoys caring for medically complex adults and is honored to provide the highest quality of individualized care she can to each patient. She is proud of and committed to Virginia Garcia’s common goal of raising the standard of health care in our underserved community.

Doctor Michael Schiferl joined Virginia Garcia in October of 2009. Dr. Schiferl’s medical interests include international medicine and medical relief, community health, pediatrics, and obstetrics. Having worked for community health for nearly 10 years, Michael joined Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Clinics to continue his interest and commitment to community health and helping the underserved both locally and overseas. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, nature, photography, motorcycling and touring, and travel.

Linda Wheeler, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife Linda Wheeler joined Virginia Garcia in 2004. She has a keen interest in women’s health care. Linda particularly enjoys performing well-woman examinations (including Pap smears) during which women can talk about family planning, gynecological issues, and sexual health. Linda is fascinated by the unique issues each woman brings to her clinic visit and appreciates the opportunity to influence their health. Having lived in Brazil and visited Central America and Africa, Linda joined Virginia Garcia to work with and learn from women of many cultures.
