New Patient Questions

How do I become a patient?
Call us at 503-359-5564 to schedule your first appointment and to complete your new patient paperwork.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes, we welcome new patients at all our clinics. Availability may vary depending on the location.
What services do you provide?
We offer primary medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health care at most locations.

Prescriptions, Lab Tests, & Medical Records

How do I get my prescription filled?

If your provider sends your prescription to a Virginia Garcia Pharmacy, we’ll get started right away. When you come in, please bring:

  • A photo ID
  • Your insurance card (if you have one)
  • A list of any allergies to medicine

We’ll go over everything with you and answer any questions.

How do I refill my prescription?

There are a few easy ways to get a refill:

  • Call the number on your prescription bottle
  • Use MyChart to request refills online
  • Sign up for automatic refills so you never run out

Please request your refill 3 days ahead of time to make sure it’s ready when you need it.

How do I get my lab test results?

You can view your lab and test results in MyChart as soon as they are available. Log in to your MyChart account to see your results, message your care team with questions, or print them for your records. If you need help accessing MyChart, please call your clinic.

Insurance & Billing

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major insurance plans, including OHP/Medicaid and Medicare. Learn more here.

What if I don’t have insurance?

We offer a sliding scale based on your income and family size. We can help you apply for coverage or programs that fit your needs.

How can I pay my bill?

We make it easy to pay your bill online through MyChart, by phone, by mail, or in person at your clinic.

Transportation & Interpretation

Do you offer transportation assistance?
We can help you connect to transportation resources for your appointments. Call your clinic for details.
Do you provide interpreters?

Yes, we offer interpretation services in multiple languages for appointments.

School-Based Health Centers (SBHC)

Who can get care at one of our SBHCs?

Any student living in the district can access services at our SBHCs.

Who works at SBHCs?
Each SBHC has a primary care provider, medical assistant youth coordinator, and receptionist. Each site also has behavioral/mental health providers.
Is the SBHC part of the school district?

The SBHCs are run by Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center in partnership with the school districts, the county, and the state.

Do students need to make an appointment to be seen?

We prefer students make an appointment, but walk-ins are welcome and may be seen if there is time.

Do all SBHCs offer dental services?
No, dental services are only available at the Beaverton School-Based Health Center. To schedule a visit, call (503) 356-3985. These services are available to all students enrolled in the Beaverton School District, including those in home school and private school.
